“Oh the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour tem allout, just as they are, chaff and grain together, knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keeping what is worth keeping, and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.” William Penn
What is worth keeping… and do we give thanks for the blessings in our life that are definitely worth living for? It’s never too late.

Have you ever been exposed to an opportunity that you walked away from? Maybe you didn’t do this intentionally, but nonetheless, the opportunity passed. Now, ponder an opportunity that knocked and you willingly accepted the challenge and journeyed through. I’m pretty certain that we’ve all experienced both of these options when it comes to how opportunities cross our paths. I’ve always wondered if the missed opportunity or the accepted opportunity provide more value to our lives.
Truth flowers in our hearts in many different ways. I can’t fathom an opportunity that doesn’t provide some truth and discernment for us to gain knowledge. Such markers in our lives as failures, successes, trials, and discontent all add to our resources of knowledge. Some might say these experiences were opportunities.
My guess would be that opportunities that we walked away from might have more validity to how we approach new situations and opportunities since we have a hard time not looking back and either feeling remorse at what could have been, or we work harder to ensure that we don’t miss any more opportunities.
What do you think?
