Fascinating Story
I read an incredible story and just had to share it with you. It comes from The Upper Room.
” One dy my uncle’s donkey fell into a well. The well’s owners had intended to cover up that well, but didn’t know how. Now they decided that the easiest thing to do would be to fill up the well with sand - donkey and all. they started throwing sand on the donkey. The donkey brayed pitifully all day long. All of a sudden, the donkey began to shake off all the sand and then step up onto it. The donkey continued to do this and eventually reached the top of the well by climbing up onto the sand.”
This story was truly an example of motivation for me, providing me with a sense of adrenaline rush that would allow this animal to survive, to maintain exposure to the world, and to do what was within his power to help himself. The donkey didn’t think about what he could do to get out of this situation. He was just trying to get some sand off of his body. I can imagine the donkey’s amazement, as well as the well owners as the donkey shook off all of the sand, and started to make his way out of this predicament.
This is an amazing testament to our motivation in life, and how simple some tasks can be when looking from the outside in.
